ANTHONY CONSTANTINE plays violin on Wisdom, Broken Man on a Tree, Never Ending Stream, An Irish Blessing. Raised in Hebburn, Tyneside, Anthony moved to London in 1987 to pursue his violin training. He has a B.A (hons) music degree from the University of Newcastle; studied at the Colchester School of Music, then privately at the Royal College of Music, London. He has a broad experience, playing in opera orchestras, Gypsy/Roumanian and other Eastern European folk music. He currently teaches and plays London.

GRAHAM WOOD Keyboards and arrangements for all classical backings on album Beneath My Shade. Also most arrangements on the Celtic and country songs. Graham used to teach music at Newcastle College but now works in South Shields. He has a very broad and varied experience, having written music for pantomimes and for the popular Byker Grove. He’s even had a bash at writing successful jingles for TV and Radio.It’s Graham’s flair and skill that have given this album warmth, colour and soul, often in very difficult circumstances. We are indebted to him for his patience, sensitivity, kindness and talent.
JIM HORNSBY plays dobro and guitar on BENEATH MY SHADE, and dobro on THE BETTER PART and THE MAN WHO IS MY DESTINY. Jim lives in Newcastle/Tyne and was educated at St Cuthbert’s High School, Fenham, Newcastle, at the same time as Sting. He was also taught Maths by Peter Kennedy and says of him, “Pete was one of the younger teachers then, in tune with younger people.” Peter will have been very proud of his former pupil as Jim is a reliable, very talented and highly respected singer/songwriter and country musician. Lonnie Donnegan was one of his earliest musical influences. And so began his outstanding career!Jim sings with Diesal Therapy. SEAN TAYLOR Sean’s studio is in Cramlington, Northumberland. He began as our very skilful recording engineer. But then he had some creative bursts, adding bass guitar, shakers, tambourine and guitar whenever he felt inspired. He’s given depth and rhythm to The Better Part, Wisdom, Never Ending Stream, The Man who is My Destiny, and tubular bells to Arise,My Faithful One. As well as suggestions for simple harmonies. It has been an education working with Sean, an absolute delight. Sean also works for the God Channel, and at the Cluny recording Studio in Newcastle’s Ouseburn Valley.
