CRAMLINGTON, Northumberland, is famous for:
Sting taught at St Paul’s school in Cramlington, before embarking on a career as the globally-successful singer/songwriter and musician.
- Ross Noble, the wacky comedian, lived here from an early age. He describes Cramlington as a hamlet with lots of cycle-tracks and a bingo hall. But then he did live in Australia for a while.
Northumberlandia (affectionately named Goddess of the North by locals), the world’s largest landform sculpture. We watched her giant proportions take shape during our months of recording. She was completed in August 2012. Great views from all her high points!
